For tonight’s result show our glam look all revolved around the color of my dress. I thought it was fresh and bright and I wanted to be sure my hair and makeup complimented the color rather than clashed with it. Below is what we used to get this look.
Xoxo
Christina

From makeup artist Jake Bailey:
For tonight’s show we did a bronze smoky eye, big lashes, tawny cheeks and a rosy glossy lip. I started by lining her eyes with Covergirl liquiline blast eyeliner in black. I then smudged the liner with a small cone shaped eye shadow brush to soften the edges. I smudged even more liner up onto her eyelid and layered “bronze” shadow from M.A.C on top all over the lid and into the crease. I used a strip of false lashes from Ardell called “wispies” and coated them with Diorshow mascara. The blush was Covergirl’s cheekers blush in “Sierra sands” I lined her lips with a rose colored liner from Inglot in shade #858 and over that applied Dior addict ultra gloss flash #856 for extra shine.
From hair stylist Mark Townsend:
I loved the color and silhouette of Christina’s Roland Mouret dress so much, it was such a great fashion moment with a touch of sexiness so I wanted her hair to have the same feeling. I started by spraying Sally Hershberger Super Keratin Spray into Christina’s damp hair to soften and condition her hair before blowdrying with a large round brush. To give her hair body and movement, I took 4 inch sections of hair and sprayed Dove Style+Care Flexible Hold Hairspray on each section and then used a large 2 inch curling iron to give ER hair a very soft wave. I finished by taking a small amount of Malin+Goetz Hair Pomade in my hands and rubbed my hands together to warm up the product and then “raked” my fingers through her hair for separation and piecey-ness.
From stylist Simone Harouche:
Christina was drawn to the Roland Mouret dress because of the amazing fit , which is so sleek and modern. She also loved the color of the dress, and was really drawn to the marigold shade. We thought the color of the dress would really pop against the red judges chair. I paired this look with amazing studded crystal pigalle louboutins and loree Rodkin jewelry.
Cee Lo Green visited the Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday. When they talked about his upcoming album “Cee-Lo Green… Is Everybody’s Brother” he told that all The Voice coaches, Adam, Blake, and Christina will make an appearance on the album. The release date is still unknown. Search 3:10 on the video.
Last night the first live shows for The Voice began. For me as an artist it is always so much fun to experiment with my ever changing looks. I love to collaborate with my glam team. We all wanted to share with you how we got the look from last night’s show and we promise to keep you all updated on how to get these looks so you too can experiment with your own glam.
Hair dresser Mark Townsend on Christina’s hair:
For the premiere of the live shows of The Voice I was so inspired by Christina’s amazing Alexander McQueen dress so I wanted her hair to have the same sexy vibe with a rock and roll edge. I started by applying a large dollop of Dove Nourishing Curls Mousse into her damp hair and blow dried with a large round brush. Next, I took 3 to 4 inch sections of hair and sprayed each section with a heat Protectant spray before wrapping the hair in a 1 inch curling iron. When all her hair was curled I sprayed Sally Hershberger Body Fix Spray all over to give her hair lots of volume and texture. I finished by spraying Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray for hold that will last but not look stiff or too done.
Makeup artist Jake Bailey on Christina’s makeup:
Xtina’s look tonight was classic Xtina. Dramatic eyes and red lips. I achieved the eye look using a combination of Ysl’s black cream liner and their new pure chromatics pallette. I used the cream liner all over the lid and smudged it to create an intense smokey eye. Than using a damp eye shadow brush I applied and aubergine shade from the pure chromatics pallette over the black cream to add color and shine. I finished the eye with tons of Diorshow mascara. I used Nar’s “Casino” bronzer in the hollows of her cheeks to accentuate her cheekbones and dusted “coralista” blush from Benefit on the apples of her cheeks to add a bright coral glow to her complexion. I finished the look with a classic red lipstick and liner from Inglot. The lipstick is shade number 408 and the liner is #856.
