Christina Aguilera is probably the most powerful voice among pop divas. Why do they determine petite American woman in any style she revealed in our author Andreas Tölke
From childhood she had a dream: singing. The little girl with the big voice has grown up now. That they sold around 50 million albums and fat is topped only by Madonna as an artist, would never have dreamed Christina Aguilera. Moreover, the New Yorker, a style icon. Why? Because they can be forced into any style. A strong woman who does what she likes. In every respect. Be it in the cinema, where Christina Aguilera made her debut in “Burlesque” alongside Cher, be it as a model for Versace and with their own scent creations. “Secret Potion” called her new perfume – the diva herself as a balanced composition with a lot of glamor. In the hotel “Bayerischer Hof” in Munich we met Christina Aguilera to the interview. What you can not read: She laughs, as bright and carefree, that your heart aufgeft. And with one voice … But you know, yes.
What was your inspiration for the new perfume?
Women who enter the room and have a very special aura that special something. Women who have developed a unique style that immediately draw attention to themselves, which are the focus of interest to you. This is what “Secret Potion”. Every woman has it all, and a fragrance is – I think – a way to say this: to feel good. A little “spritz”, and the world belongs to me. (Laughs)
Spritz is currently a fashionable drink in Europe. Ever tried it?
No. Unfortunately not. (Laughs)
It is the fourth fragrance. How much of you is in it?
The process of developing a perfume is very complex. We have worked for a year-long process. It is a very close cooperation. It makes a step forward and back – as far as the base of the fragrance, or like the new touch to the already existing “family scent” fits. I’ve put together a mood board. All things of which I am surrounded gem: Room aromas from my house, bubble baths, which I love, candles and flowers, besteistern me. It was the base, then experimented with the intensity of the different ingredients. I finally had a range of different fragrance compositions with which I worked long. For me, the feeling must agree to the perfume.
What are concrete because the secret ingredients of mood boards?
In the first place sandalwood. And when the bubble baths I have named names, the exact composition have researched other for me. I am committed to not farm for hours on the computer. (Laughs) Figuring out what I like, that is the job of the experts. (Laughs) For example, I like musk very, very happy, because the sound is as sensual as the base.
If you have more time with each routine?
No. I am a person who can always excited about new things and situations. This time it’s almost like a celebration. I am, as I said, was inspired by women that I find it great if they only enter the room.
How much is your smell sensitivity has increased since your mother?
Not very extreme. Every woman is different, too. Some women during pregnancy, intense odors unbearable, I’ve had the luck not to.
She began her career as a child, now you are “grown up”. What has now changed with just over 30, in your perception of yourself?
Women go through many different phases and have different looks that express this. I had throughout my career that very experimental. Have fun is important for me, but I also wanted to always do what’s behind my music, to express. Every album I’ve ever published, stands for a certain attitude to life, describes the phase in which I found myself in each case. My next album will be more inward-looking, is subdued. I reflect on the recent past. So a very different album.
Your CDs really tell you anything? Hard to believe.
But. Absolutely. It’s all hidden in the texts. And so it is also important to me that there is always a text booklet. I want the audience to know what moves me. Because the phases that I’ve been through, everyone knows. And maybe this will help the one or the other and give him strength – especially in difficult times.
In terms of style: What has changed since?
I’ve always set aud the change. Artist in this industry to be mean to me, can not be set too. And when I tried out a style that I’m easily bored and will not repeat it. I’m 30 – should I still run around in chaps? I did that with 21. (Laughs)
What would you advise women if they want to change their style?
Wear what makes you happy! Fashion is often taken too seriously. You may not limit one, not stuck in school Bladen. Otherwise they suffocated one. Women should celebrate more, give yourself a lot more sense to be mad. Anything that causes that you feel comfortable in his skin, you should do. I firmly believe that the individuality of each individual is worthy of support.
Their style is rather eclectic. Is this the headline for Christina Aguilera’s life?
Yes. Absolutely yes.
Her makeup is very, very dramatic. When they met me privately, you would look the same?
(Laughs) Wow. I must admit I am very inpiriert of theatricality – large productions, a lot of effort, and I like it to be the girly girl to experiment with hair, to try various make-ups, styles, however different they may be. I think, to develop their own creativity is really great fun. If you ask me privately träfen – then I would need the help of my hairdresser before. (Laughs) I’m too impatient for me to make the hair. And the make-up: This would look like now that I’ve mastered.
Will there ever be a final Christina Aguilera?
Oh no. Never.
